The Hurd lab in the Department of Psychology is seeking a project coordinator to assist with the management of a longitudinal study tracking the social, occupational and mental and physical health outcomes of a cohort of young adults who formerly attended UVA.

Under general direction of faculty and/or senior research personnel, Research Coordinator employees support the development, design, and implementation of research projects according to plans. They operate with understanding of research goals and objectives but follow established protocols and guidelines. Employees seek instruction in areas of complexity.

Responsibilities include:
· Supervision and training of undergraduate research assistants and part-time staff
· Tracking and corresponding with participants
· Data cleaning and management; data analyses
· Managing and coordinating the collection of online surveys and physical health data
· Assisting with manuscript preparation and other dissemination efforts
· Assisting with research proposals

Preference will be given to candidates willing to make a 2-year commitment.

The preferred submission date is April 10th. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis. This full-time position will remain open until filled.

This is a restricted position contingent on continued funding.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Associate's degree in related field.
Experience: Equivalent experience/course work will be considered in lieu of degree.
Licensure: None.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings, and programs.
