Children and Screens is pleased to announce the inaugural Children and Screens Impact Fellowship. This year-long, remote opportunity is available for six students who are passionate about helping young people lead healthy lives in a digital world. Impact Fellows will work closely with our dedicated team to further the Institute's mission to advance and support interdisciplinary research, inform and educate the public, and influence sound public policy for child health and wellness.
Fellows will directly contribute to Institute programs, including planning and executing the webby-nominated Ask the Experts webinar series, reading and disseminating scientific literature, analyzing policy and legislation, and creating informative, engaging content for public education efforts. Through this work, participants will gain experience in assessing and meeting the needs of diverse stakeholders. All participants will attend weekly meetings, partake in structured evaluations, and attend professional networking events as well. The program is structured to support students' exploration of unique professional interests with close mentorship from our staff. As the inaugural cohort, this year's Fellows will also have the opportunity to provide direct input and feedback on the structure of the program.
The ideal candidate is a graduate student or advanced undergraduate studying psychology, policy or political science, public health, or related fields. Our staff prides itself on providing support and real-world experiences to help students develop their skills, and we are happy to assist with any academic credit requirements.
