What will you do as a Technical Product Manager (Hardware)?
LMI Technologies is a leader in 3D inline inspection solutions including our flagship Gocator Smart Sensors with innovative built-in measurement and IO capabilities.
As a Technical Product Manager (Hardware) you will be responsible for driving LMI's growth through the development of new and successful products and features that meet our customers' needs.
The ideal candidate will be passionate about understanding our customers' challenges, translating them into technical requirements, and executing the resulting product roadmap.
Strong communication skills and the ability to negotiate with stakeholders from numerous departments is a must Experience with embedded electronics, machine vision, electro-optical systems, and/or 3D measurement is an asset.
Translate high level product requirements into technical specifications for the development team Coordinate the implementation of new products with a wide variety of stakeholders including the development, sales, marketing, and support teams Track and provide regular updates on project status and user feedback, including presentations to internal and external customers as required Review proposed designs with stakeholders to ensure that the resulting solution addresses customer and market needs Facilitate technical discussions between various groups, including complex trade-offs studies, to ensure that optimal path forward and clear communication Examine a wide range complex problems and propose innovative and creative solutions to meet business needs What do you need to be successful?
Bachelor of Engineering in a related field (Mechanical, Electrical, Physics) Proven ability to work in a multidisciplinary product development environment, including customer facing interactions 3-5 years experience of project/product management in a hardware development Experience with embedded electronics, machine vision, electro-optical systems, and/or 3D measurement is an asset Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to clearly convey technical issues to a wide audience Proven creative problem solving and decision making skills Experience with Jira, MS Office, Google docs Familiarity with programming languages and data analysis (e.g.
