Through the Health Care Provider Contract, Calian employs health care professionals across Canada who are integral to supporting the health and wellbeing of our military members.
We are currently seeking a Nurse Practitioner who would be interested in a full time position at CFB Borden.

Performs comprehensive health assessments using sound clinical, judgment, diagnostic and therapeutic skills Practices autonomously, and is solely accountable for his/her actions while practicing Consults with physicians or other health care professionals when the client's condition requires care beyond the scope of NP practice Makes appropriate medical employment limitation recommendations in accordance with the Surgeon General's guidelines Prescribes medications and orders x-rays, ultrasounds, and lab tests in accordance with the Standards of Practice for RN's in the Extended Class Implements strategies to promote health and prevent illness with individuals, families or groups Collaborates on the management of Members with stable chronic illnesses (such as diabetes, hypertension, dyslipidemia and asthma) through a predetermined referral process Refers patients to other providers or programs according to the patient's needs The qualifications: Registered as a Nurse Practitioner within the province of Ontario with 1 year of experience Type of Assignment : Full time contract The federal government has implemented a mandatory vaccination policy for public servants and all contractor personnel who access Government of Canada workplaces.
As an employee or independent contractor of Calian performing work for federal government customers of Calian, you will be subject to this mandate.
Calian has a duty to provide and maintain a safe workplace and is contractually obligated to adhere to government mandates, policies and directives.
Your employment / independent contractor agreement with Calian will require that you obey all workplace health, safety and security rules and regulations established by Calian or the customer.
Every Calian employee and independent contractor working on Calian customer worksites will be required to complete an attestation before you are employed by Calian, stating that you are Fully vaccinated (full series of a Health Canada-approved vaccine, 14 days have passed since your last dose).
This is a mandatory requirement and failure to complete the attestation will result in you being non-compliant for the position and we will therefore be unable to move forward in the hiring process.
