Our lab at the University of Pittsburgh has several full-time positions open for NIMH-funded projects on emotion and behavior dysregulation in high-risk populations. All studies include a focus on interpersonal dynamics in close relationships (adult romantic couples, mother-child dyads, and children and their close friends) and include observational assessments in the lab, ecological momentary assessment, and psychophysiological (e.g., ECG, skin conductance) measurement.
These positions are ideal for individuals interested in gaining more research and clinical experience, including clinical interviewing and safety planning as well as management and scoring of multimodal data. Successful candidates will work primarily with Drs. Stephanie Stepp, Amy Byrd, and Salome Vanwoerden.
Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis and start dates can be flexible.
Specific Research Topics Include:
• Suicide behavior
• Aggression
• Personality disorders
• Developmental Psychopathology
• Dialectical Behavior Therapy
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Psychology, Neuroscience, Sociology or related field.
- Familiarity with common software packages.
- Working knowledge of research methodology strongly preferred.
