The Developmental Mechanisms Program in the Department of Medical Social Sciences at Northwestern University is seeking highly qualified applicants for a Data Coordinator. This position supports an investigative team across multiple funded studies of longitudinal child development directed by Dr. Laurie Wakschlag and Dr. Elizabeth Norton. Multiple state-of-the-art, developmentally sensitive methods are used to assess these and other factors longitudinally.
The Data Coordinator will provide expertise in the planning, design, management, and implementation of data processes across multiple studies. The Data Coordinator will support data collection, cleaning, documentation, and distribution of the When to Worry (W2W), Promoting Healthy Brain Project (PHBP), Mental Health, Earlier Synthetic Cohort (MHESC), and HEALthy Brain and Child Development Study (HBCD) studies. The Data Coordinator will be supervised by the Assistant Director of Data Processes and the MHESC Science Lead to ensure a rigorous data system to support the daily operations and manuscript preparation of research projects. The Data Coordinator will have opportunities to be involved in , grant submissions, manuscripts, and other scientific products. Familiarity with longitudinal research design is preferred. Knowledge of early child development is a plus.
Specific responsibilities include:
