Pre-Press Technician

Position Summary:

The Pre-Press Technician is responsible for digital pre-press processes, procedures and print color management. Makes
plates as per customer specifications and company quality requirements. Proofread, cut, and fold printing proofs for
customer service and production. Mount plates for printing. Use Mac system and graphic design software including
Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, In Design and Acrobat.

Prepares art and graphic files for the flexographic print of custom envelopes according to customer
specifications.
Color separates designs and creates flexographic plates for the print process.
Accurately revises artwork based on customer and sales staff feedback.
Spends time in production to better understand the process of flexographic printing on a web machine.
Adheres to ever-changing deadlines and production scheduling.
Works on multiple designs for multiple customers as any given time
Additional responsibilities and projects as required.

Education and Experience:

Must have minimum of 2-3 years of experience in Flexographic Print environment
Proficient in graphic software; Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and Acrobat
Proficient in office software Excel, Word, and Outlook/Mail
Knowledge of Esko Automation is a plus
Knowledge of Flexographic Plate Making is a plus
Ability to follow directions and procedures.
Knowledge of how colors physically and visually interact with one another.
Continual use of keyboard and mouse manipulation; visual acuity and color differentiation.
