Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Senior Program Coordinator for the RCAAS College Support Program (CSP). The Senior Program Coordinators for the CSP are members of the RCAAS Strategic Leadership team that provide end to end supervision of services, staff, students, interns, peer mentors, and all other aspects of daily operations for the RCAAS CSP. The Senior Program Coordinators are the primary point of contact for the CSP for all students, parents, university faculty/staff/administrators and all other community partners.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
- Oversees the CSP admissions process and make determinations related to CSP program admissions.
- Provides direct support to CSP students as needed/appropriate.
- Monitors all CSP student progress and develops/implements individualized programming/services to ensure the highest likelihood for CSP student success.
- Oversees CSP staff/student training, resource allocation, CSP budget, professional development, and the implementation of center-wide policies within CSP.
- Ensures adherence with all program/university-wide communications with staff and students/families.
- Completes all performance reviews, professional supervision, and all decisions related to hiring/discipline/termination of RCAAS CSP program staff in collaboration with RU UHR.
- Develops/maintains a robust network of community partners and serves as an ambassador for the RCAAS/GSAPP and Rutgers University as a whole.
- Provides workshops/training for the broader Rutgers University community as needed/appropriate.
- Ensures compliance with all relevant university, state, and/or federal guidelines, regulations, circulars, statutes, etc. including those originating from the NJ Division of Vocational Rehabilitation, Medicaid, etc.
Minimum Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years' experience working to support adolescents or young adults with autism, ADHD or other students with specialized support needs, and experience supervising/evaluating staff.
Certifications/Licenses:
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to prioritize work and show a high level of initiative/autonomy.
- Excellent communication skills.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Must be dynamic to meet the individualized needs of CSP students, staff, trainees, and a range of Rutgers community stakeholders. This may sometimes involve having a flexible work schedule to coordinate events (i.e., working in the evening and on weekends) and working from a variety of community locations and traveling to multiple settings at the university throughout the day using a variety of private and public transportation.
