This International PhD Programme Mainz will take place in Germany and is specifically for students with a background in molecular biology or related fields. As a PhD candidate in the International PhD Programme (IPP), students will have the opportunity to engage in exciting research projects focusing on the theme of Gene Regulation, Epigenetics and Genome Stability. In addition, students can become part of the vibrant IPP community, which comprises 200 students from various corners of the globe.

The IPP Mainz is a fully funded scholarship program where all PhD projects in the IPP are fully funded. As an IPP student, students engage in dynamic research within the laboratory of one of the collaborating groups, overseen directly by the group leader or a senior member of the lab. The participating labs include IMB, Johannes Gutenberg University (JGU) and the University Medical Centre (UMC). Furthermore, through the IMB International PhD Programme in Germany, students collaborate with their group leader to establish a Thesis Advisory Committee consisting of prominent scientists who provide ongoing support and guidance for the research project throughout the entire doctoral studies.
