Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC) Position
Neurodevelopmental Disorders Prevention Center
Dr. Nehal Parikh, Director of the Neurodevelopmental Disorders Prevention Center, is looking to hire a motivated Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC) to join a research team (Cincinnati Early Prediction Study or CINEPS) focused on understanding and early identification of brain abnormalities and neurodevelopmental disorders in high-risk newborns. The NIH-funded research crosses multiple disciplines including neonatology, neuroscience, neuroimaging, prognostication, and neurodevelopmental prevention and rehabilitation. The focus is leveraging advanced neuroimaging and statistical modeling to enable early diagnosis and prevention of neurodevelopmental disorders. Our recently funded NIH project is studying a longitudinal birth cohort to examine early predictors of school readiness in close to 400 children born very preterm. These children are currently undergoing repeat neuroimaging at 5 years of age and neurodevelopmental testing at 5 and 7 years of age. This is a great opportunity to contribute to this large longitudinal cohort study and related interventional studies designed to reduce the incidence of neurodevelopmental disorders in high-risk preterm infants.
