This is a re-post of Managing and Directing Others: Salvation Army, which was published on Friday 06 March 2020 at 21:00.
On several occasions, my Managers asked me if I could train new starters to help them get on board quicker.
I needed to manage and direct new starters when I trained them.
I accepted the task of training the new starters and trained them from the beginning and in an orderly fashion. I trained them on how to accept donations, how to steam iron clothes, price donations and merchandise donations on shelves and clothes rails. I explained and showed them on how to do it. I monitored and guided them until both them and I felt they were doing well enough.
I successfully trained the new starters and my Managers commented on how well they were doing, as well as how well I did the training my my training process. The donations were also merchandised quickly.
