The Assistant Director of Human Resources assists in the overall management of the Human Resources Team.
Areas of emphasis include ongoing training, coaching and keeping the team motivated.
The successful candidate will be well versed in the areas of benefits, workforce planning, recruitment and staffing strategies, wage and salary administration, associate and labour relations, workforce training and development, and local diversity initiatives.
This highly visible role assists in short and long-term planning of the HR function and is heavily involved in executing the HR initiatives.
Qualifications Excellent customer service, interpersonal, communication (both written and verbal), documentation and presentation skills Demonstrated initiative, problem-solving, decision-making, troubleshooting, technical and analytical skills Ability to work effectively with limited supervision and as a member of a team Demonstrated effective coordination, organizational and planning skills Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy, and the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet timelines and maintain confidentiality Understanding of collective agreements Sound experience working with local Unions is an asset 4-6 years of progressive Human Resources Leadership Demonstrated commitment to equity, inclusion, anti-racism, anti-oppression and working in a diverse community and/or work environment Hyatt Centric Austin-Downtown/Congress Street | Austin , TX , US Hyatt Regency Portland Convention Center | Portland , Oregon , US
