Our client, a leading CPG manufatcuring company is looking for a QC Lab Director to join their growing team.
Responsibilities: Management of QC Lab Testing Lead, plan, organize, implement, and control the daily activities of the QC laboratory to ascertain that raw materials, mass and finished goods meet internal and external specifications.
This includes accountability for lab workflow, sample analysis, sample retention, standards management, raw material qualification, TPM testing, outsourced testing, inventory management and document management Review execution and KPIs related to data integrity checks / verifications Provide QC expertise to plant hygiene program Ensure there is testing support in relation to the environmental monitoring program and any associated risk assessments Act as primary liaison with suppliers, R&D, PD and other departments, as necessary, on the status of raw material/mass/finished goods, inclusive of test procedures and discrepancies from specifications Lead the identification of SOPs and work instruction updates or create new based on lab trends and CAPAs.
Review SOPs and work instructions for approval.
Equipment Program Lead QC lab equipment budget, equipment purchases, installation and initiate change control as needed Review and approval of lab equipment qualification (IQ/OQ/PQ) protocols and reports Lead overall QC lab equipment administration, including calibration, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting as needed Compliance / Continuous Improvement Ensure all lab processes are adhering to relevant regulatory GMPs and global company policies & procedures Participate in internal audits to ensure regulatory readiness Work collaboratively with Planning, Global Supply Chain, QA Labs, Manufacturing, Validation, and Operations to drive continuous improvement.
Ensure monitoring of lab KPIs and to drive improvements Ensure all customer complaints are investigated, improvements implemented, and response made in a timely manner Ensure alignment between QC Lab Managers and their direct reports objectives to both Company's and QA Strategy goals.
Ensure performance is reviewed against those objectives.
Work with Quality leadership team for proactive succession planning and a high-performance culture through people.
Provide the coaching, mentorship and training necessary to support ongoing personal and professional development of QC lab staff Support the development and execution of quality training curriculum for the laboratory Job Requirements: Minimum 10 years' experience in managerial positions, preferably in microbiology, analytical chemistry or product evaluation laboratories in Quality Control for a global consumer goods or pharma company Demonstrated ability to successfully run multiple laboratories in a cGMP environment.
Experience in developing and overseeing laboratory SOPs and revisions according to regulatory guidelines Experience in dealing with microbiological and analytical chemistry data integrity requirements necessary in an HC / FDA/ global government agency inquiry and/or audit Excellent communication and coaching skills.
This includes the ability to communicate with the Quality Control team members clearly and concisely regarding quality control issues, quality control requirements, implementation of quality control programs, and corrective & preventative actions where required.
Ability to communicate information to cross-functional stakeholders and suppliers.
