The Senior Mobile Engineer role is on our Engineering team and the successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, maintaining and supporting our cross-platform mobile software development kit (SDK).
This position will work directly with the Engineering and Product teams as well as our partners. The role will see you build out the initial SDK, release it to our partners through open source licensing and support it through blogs, how-tos and working directly with partner engineers.
Roles and responsibilities
- Design, implement, test and maintain the Cybrid mobile cross-platform SDKs for the iOS and Android platforms
- Work closely with customers and the Cybrid product development team to design, build and deploy customer user experiences
- Design, implement and maintain continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines to automatically build and test the cross-platform SDKs to ensure broad support across the iOS and Android platforms and their devices
- Work with team members to ensure high quality code through code and design reviews
- Actively prioritize the paying down of technical debt
- Actively engage, support and provide feedback to the Cybrid development community to ensure their feedback is considered and addressed with a high degree of professionalism
- Develop and maintain the mobile cross-platform SDK documentation, tutorials and blogs
- Demonstrate a high degree of professionalism by providing support to operational issues when they arise
Minimum experience
- 8+ years of mobile software development experience
Required skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- iOS and Android development
- Cross-platform mobile SDK development
- Kotlin development. Kotlin Multipleplatform is an asset
- Expertise in software engineering design principles and patterns
- Expertise in interfacing with REST APIs and JSON data formats
- Experience with Git
- Experience building and maintaining CI/ CD pipelines
- Strong experience with automated testing
- Experience with mobile cross-platform testing
- Experience developing highly scalable, reliable and robust solutions
- Building secure mobile experiences
