These days it is seen that candidates are directed towards online classes but we would like to re-establish the importance of books and most essential in the article below.

UPSC IAS 2022: Go-to Books for CSE

Candidates aspiring to appear for the Civil Services Examination must follow a certain arrangement which can be beneficial for them. As suggested by various experts, no one can beat NCERT. If you want to start preparing for UPSC, you must start with NCERT books from class 6th to 12th.

NCERT Books Provide the basis for the examination. It is well known that UPSC asks CBSE board based questions in GS paper. What can be better for any CBSE student than NCERT books? Also, students must note that NCERT books help in developing interest and can be followed for light reading.

If candidates have less time than others, try to finish at least NCERT books from classes 9-12.

Another book that gained popularity was Tamil Nadu Board Books for Arts and Culture. Medieval history can be prepared easily by using these books. Anyone who is preparing for UPSC exam must know the importance of medieval history in the last 10 years. There is a huge increase in the number of questions from this part of the syllabus and the data is available in Tamil Nadu board books for classes. 11th and 12th.

The next topic which interests most of the candidates in Indian politics. The go-to book for Indian politics M. Laxmikant's Indian polity. Trust us when we say, there are no words you can let go of this book unread. It is like the bible of Indian politics and is the most popular book among all the candidates.

The next book is for history. There should be three history books in everyone's reach and these are RS Sharma for Antique History, Medieval History of Bipin Chandra and Satish Chandra to Modern Indian History. Three books are enough for UPSC Prelims and Mains. However in the main exam, there will also be a need to study world history, for which the book Named Norman Lowe, Mastering the Modern World History may matter.

For geography, there is a need to study physical, political and human geography By DR Kulhar or Majid Hussain. NCERT of Geography should not be skipped at any cost. In addition, one should always refer to the atlas.

For environmental science, environment and ecology may be referred to by: R. by Rajagopalan or Majid Hussain, These books are sufficient for the candidates to appear in both the preliminary and main examination of UPSC CSE.

For Indian Economy you can read the book Indian Economy by Ramesh Singh. This book contains everything you need to know about the Indian economy and answers all the questions based on this topic.

Current affairs should be prepared from newspapers and many magazines available to the candidates in the market. Students should not compromise with current affairs at any cost. 50% of your UPSC CSE Prelims and Mains is based on current events. The best way to prepare them is through newspapers.
