If you said yes and are able to handle situations that require calm and tact, we have a unique career opportunity within a new department at Nordia We are currently recruiting for a new team of Customer Service Specialists, Telecommunications in the Montreal area.
With your critical thinking skills, resourcefulness and ability to use your judgment to make important decisions, you will play a vital role in handling various types of calls, ranging from telecommunications customer service calls to calls of more urgent nature with different public safety professionals.
What your day will look like In this role, you will: Answer emergency-type calls and transfer them to the appropriate downstream agency or dispatching emergency responders (in 2022); In the event of reduced volume, take a variety of telecommunications calls; Make sure that the provided information is maintained private and strictly confidential at all times; At all times, demonstrate tact and calmness to assist with the request.
Until the beginning of the emergency-type calls in 2022, you will be in charge of providing support to various network users covered by the main residential telecommunications provider in Canada.
You will be responsible for providing customer service related to telecommunications products and services.
Here's what you need to join the team: Be perfectly bilingual (English and French); Be able to work on-site at our Montreal centre on all shifts and meet the requirements for working at our centres (criteria will be discussed during the interview); Flexible schedule (essential)
– We have to be able to help people when they need us (during the day, evening, night or weekends); Excellent oral and written communication skills; Strong critical thinking and ability to find optimal solutions to complex situations; Active listening skills and ability to manage your stress levels to make the right decisions under pressure; High school diploma or the equivalent, completed; Advanced computer skills and ability to use various computer equipment and telephone systems; Ability to type precisely and accurately; What we offer: A competitive salary of $22.75/hour (includes a bilingual premium) from the moment you're hired; Hourly premium available for weekend work; Hourly premium available for night shifts ($1.50); Fully paid training and all the support you need to succeed; Complete benefits plan after six months of service, including: Comprehensive insurance (medical, dental, and life insurance); Great discounts on telecommunications products and services.
