To learn more about CIBC, please visit CIBC.com Job Description What You'll Be Doing The Senior Director, Fusion Data Management & Analytics will be working with peers and leaders across Enterprise Security, Architecture, Analytics & Fraud, in the ideation, development, planning, analysis, and presentation of strategic projects and enhancements.

As part of the Fusion team, you'll leverage your best-in-class expertise in Information Security, Corporate Security, and/or Fraud Management to prevent, detect and respond to multi-faceted threats in order to protect our clients and the Bank.

With a focus on data aggregation, analysis, and strategic problem solving, the incumbent will lead the development of the Fusion Insights strategy to support the development of the Fusion data and technology environment
– enabling key Fusion capabilities.

The Senior Director role also includes ongoing management of a team of Specialists dedicated to supporting the development of Fusion use cases, research, advanced analytics, forensics/deep dives.

How You'll Succeed Data Innovation & Transformation: Champion the transformation agenda by sharing expertise and influencing business partners in the transformative capability of analytics and its value as a strategic driver.

Be a role model of thought leadership and promote the use of data and insights for strategic impact.

Implement additional rigor to the advanced analytics function, building strong analytics disciplines and increasing automation.

Build sturdy and reliable algorithms and showcase how analytics can be used to improve threat risk mitigation.

Make recommendations to Business Leaders to ensure alignment and enhancement of our systems, processes and practices to current and future financial crimes trends that will secure and safeguard our Bank.

Oversee the build and implementation and target use cases into production to support monitoring and detection of sophisticated threats.

Data Strategy & Management : Work with the Head of Fusion to develop and maintain the vision and strategy for Fusion.

Lead the development of the data & analytics strategy and roadmap to support effective operations of the Fusion Team.

Manage Fusion-wide advanced analytics priorities and guide the organization on which data to store, analyze and scrutinize for the businesses benefit.

Articulate the value in integrating data/ intelligence across defensive units (eg.

risk, architecture, detection, app security).

Develop the process for identification of Fusion use cases based on internal reviews, understanding of industry trends, and correlative analysis across Financial Crimes verticals.

People Leadership: Provide leadership and effective management of business unit staff to influence employee commitment to the organization, to the team, and to their job by; setting appropriate context when assigning work to ensure that individuals' roles support the achievement of the business unit's priorities and CIBC's overall goals; building team and individual capabilities by providing development opportunities such as job shadowing, special projects, and training; managing performance by providing fair and accurate formal and informal feedback, identifying and removing obstacles to performance and by explaining how performance expectations align with business priorities; and creating a positive work environment and being an effective role model by championing CIBC's mission, vision and values.

Who You Are You can demonstrate experience as a Data Expert and have a broad range of knowledge of various data management frameworks and systems, as well as a strong background in building and leading teams.

You have demonstrated expertise in the areas associated with analysis, fraud mitigation technologies, cyber security, and corporate security; as well as, statistical, mathematical, analytical, graphical reporting, database management/querying, and computer programming/software expertise.
