Research & Policy Development Assistant

REF: Reference No: EBK/HR & ADM/RT/030/VOL. I/(307)

Terms of Engagement: Temporary for one (1) Year

Directorate/Department: Policy, Research and Strategy (PRS)

Remuneration: Gross Consolidated Remuneration of Ksh.40,000 per month

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Undertake research using internal and external data sources, best practice and bench-marking groups;
  • To assimilate and analyze research data quickly and accurately;
  • Produce concise and well researched reports as required;
  • Identify resource mobilization strategies and develop draft funding proposals and concept papers;
  • Produce regular updates on key areas of interest to the Board including National Parliament, Senate and County Government Parliamentary Bills;
  • Support managers on policy development by researching best practice and supporting with consultation;
  • Co-ordination and administering the review and development of policies;
  • Supporting effective, high quality Impact Assessments;
  • Support in Carrying out Surveys; and
  • Any other duties that may be reasonably required.

Minimum Requirements:

· Degree in Engineering, Economics/Statistics or Social Sciences from a recognized university.

· Proficiency in computer application skills:

· Advanced Excel and analytical tools

Competencies Skills

· Strong communication and reporting skills;

· Strong organization and interpersonal skills;

· Proficiency in IT; and

· Strong analytical and numerical skills.
